Beyond Compare
Georgetown University Press
The bright color palette of this cover is based on the swami sculpture. I was quite pleased with the composition at which I arrived. A triangle is formed visually by the Author name, subtitle, circular photo. A second triangle is formed by the circular photo, title. The curved images contrast these triangles. There is also an interesting juxtaposition of scale between the large and small portraits.

Dostoevsky
Baylor University Press
The Arch Bishop of Canterbury is the author of this religious assessment of Doestevskys work. I acquired the Russian town image at the bottom at no charge from the Library of Congress. This allowed for the purchase of the rather pricey portrait of Doestevsky. My zoomed in treatment of the image focuses on his reflective countenance.

The Temple of Jerusalem

The sky above the dome was too short to accommodate the title text. I was rather pleased with my seamless extension in Photoshop.

From Pope John Paul II to Benedict XVI
Sheed and Ward
A cover featuring a subject such as this commonly has a classic look. For the sake of variety, one of the design options I provided had more of a contemporary, yet sophisticated look.

The challenge here was to arrange a potentially unwieldy ammount of text in a pleasing way.

The tall glass photograh was an interesting representation of the subject, and allowed for an interesting space to set the long list of contributors.
